Need help deciding a routine

Hey everybody, the name is Justin. Ive recently started lifing sandbags since the gym I go to is always crowded and Ive really enjoyed it so far.

Currently, Im trying to decide between the Bear School witcher routine and the Sandbag Hypertrophy 2.0 routine.

Im in the National Guard and looking to return to my former unit which does a bit more stuff in the field then I do now. So the rucking and enduring aspect of the Bear School routine fits in there (as well as I just love The Witcher). However, I like how Hypertrophy 2.0 has the calisthenics circuits. I also go ruck marching every week to train for the Norwegian Foot March.

I thought about combining the two programs but I dont know if that would be overdoing it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey glad you're here! The program I've been working on behind the scenes is exactly what you're describing, basically a combination of bear school density and the calisthenics circuits, hope to have that out before too long. In the meantime I think the setup will be perfect for your goals, I'd recommend doing the carry focused day monday, and the squat focused day thursday, and then doing the circuit days on tuesday/friday. If you want the shoulders in there you could also just rotate, something like shoulders monday, carries thursday, squats monday, shoulders thursday and so on. I hope that helps and good luck!

Great guidance! What you described is what I had in mind, but I did not think about rotating the lifts between the weeks, so thank you for that!
